Recently OPI came out with their first neons to add to the permanent collection. They will also be available in gel colors too! There is a solid white base coat that you put under the color. I'm a little torn on the collection and I'll tell you more but first, here's swatches!
All colors are 2 coats with no top coat and 2 coats of the white base.
A super bright coral neon that has the traditional matte neon finish. Love this one.
A bright rich Barbie pink with amazing pearl essence shimmer in blue\white. Was great as a pedi!
A carrot orange neon that is more bright than neon but still interesting.
A greenish yellow. Unique, still neon but not highlighter yellow like I'd like it to be.
The perfect lime color. Limes aren't neon, neither is this. Still bright, but not really a neon in a traditional sense.
So the problem I had with my set is that they were all pretty thin and streaky making them hard to work with. I talked to a friend who had none of these problems at all, so I'm wondering if I got a bad set (may be press release sets were different batches?). I had to use 2 coats of the milky base or else the colors would be even more streaky. I still used two coats of color to even it all out. Once on the nail though, they were good. I wore Hotter Than You Pink as a pedi for about a week and I loved every second of it. The pearl effects that they added in was genius. I'm wondering how they will be in gels. I'll keep an eye out for a review. Overall, it seems like not a bad first neon collection and they're here to stay in the permanent which is nice to have access to them. I'm thinking I had a bad set though, so if that's the case, I'm totally on board with this collection.

Great swatches and review! They look so fun and bright. Bummer to hear you had problems with the formula though.
