I have two of the Metallic Crackles from China Glaze for you today.
First up is Tarnished Gold: a deep shimmery gold. It applied great, I actually had anxiety applying it because I was afraid it wouldn't crack, but it did! My ring finger did not crack as much because I accidentally went over the middle of my nail with a second coat. Take note, that is what happens ... I think the gold will be a great color to put over the fall colors, plus it's good for the holidays as well!
I have a light blue underneath that shows nail line, which first annoyed me but them I noticed it looked like it was a fade from light to dark and it added interest, so I was OK with it. Application was great and the crackle on it was awesome!
The second one I received was Oxidized Aqua; the one that most interested me in the collection. It is aqua metallic shimmer-riffic! It cracks well and applied well.. I top coated both of these as well.
I have a frosty purple under OA and I must say that I like this combination so much, I plan on doing a full mani with it. Purple and metallic aqua, can't go wrong there! Plus METALLIC crackles that *actually* crack = complete win!
You can see the rest of the collection colors on China Glaze's You Tube channel or on Facebook or Twitter.

ReplyDeleteI love the first combo!
ReplyDeleteI love these :) My favorite cracks so far!
ReplyDeleteI have seen other bloggers use similar base shades under these CG metallic crackles. Not being a shatter/crackle fan - oddly, I like these 2 - but I think the base shade has a lot to do with why I like these.
ReplyDeleteOxidized Aqua looks gorgeous! You made a nice combo with the purple underneath!
