Zoya: Meg with Myrta + RA119

Here's another stamping duo I came up with using two of the polishes from Zoya's Beach and Surf collections. The base color is Meg which is a dark avocado green foil (2 coats, no problems for opacity). I stamped using the Red Angel 119 plate to get a cute flower image and used Myrta which is that burnt orange foil. Meg also stamps well as it is really pigmented. I like this mani because it looks kind of retro, like 70s wallpaper or something equally as tacky.

OPI: Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It

Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It is from the Limited Edition Vintage Minnie Mouse collection inspired by Minnie Mouse herself! This one is a light translucent pink with heart confetti. I did 2 coats over my natural nail and while the confetti does not jump out like that, if you layer the polish over black, its amazing shimmer shines through. The shimmer almost looks like little flakies in pink, blue, purple, coral, it's a show stopper! This will be available in June so keep an eye out, the entire collection looks fabulous!

"As with all OPI nail lacquers, Vintage Minnie Mouse by OPI contains no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and features OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application.

Zoya: Zuza + CH8 (houndstooth)

This is one of my latest favorite manis. I did two coats of Zoya Zuza and stamped the hounds tooth pattern from Cheeky Plate CH8. I stamped using the Milani white polish and I have to say that it's the best non-Konad white polish I have found for stamping.  I really love this mani for spring. As I mentioned before, I have more manis with the new Zoya Beach and Surf collections coming for you. Stay tuned for that and in the meantime, if you have a nail board on Pinterest, Tell me on my Facebook page!

China Glaze: Sexagon + OB5

I stumbled upon Sexagon while I was getting a pedicure with a friend out of state... random right. Sexagon is a silver scatter holo with linear intentions. I used 4 coats to get this coverage.. killed me. I much rather have used a silver base color and less Sexagon (I'll note that for next time).  Despite being a scattered holo, this polish is super holo. I wanted to jazz it up a bit and I love bows so I pulled out my fauxnaud plate OB5. I forget what polish I stamped with (sorry bout that) but the image is super cute and the one on my little finger looks a little drunk but still, it's fine. I like the pink bows over the silver holo. Next time, silver base and sober pinky.

OPI: The Amazing Spiderman (favorites and swatches)

I have some of the OPI The Amazing Spiderman Collection for you today. I have to say I am seriously loving the ones I reviewed... Onto the pictures...
Just Spotted the Lizard is by far my favorite of the ones I've tried. It's a gold to green duochrome that looks like you've dipped your nails in 24k gold. The above picture was taken in my light box under warm lighting and you can see the shift even without an extreme angle. Below is a picture under the same lighting but at more of an angle so you see the green shift. Beautiful! I applied 3 coats and dry time was fast. I have a top coat of OPI Start to Finish over all my swatches as well.
Into the Night would have to be my next favorite of the bunch. It's a very true blue shimmer that almost glows in direct light. Above is what it looks like in the light box with indirect light, below is direct light with a daylight bulb and the shimmer is amazing in this one. Again 3 coats, no application problems and a Start to Finish top coat. I'm also rocking this as a current pedi.. LOVE it on the piggies!
Number One Nemesis was another color I was really looking forward to. It's a dirty olive green/grayish murky base that has amazing micro glitter/shimmer in it. The close up was in the light box under warm light, below is under cool light, you can see how it reflects the yellow or white in the lighting. The great thing about this is it has micro holo shimmer in it so in the cooler light, you can see holo goodness. Really a beautiful polish. 2 coats and a top coat pictured.

Shatter the Scales is the new green glittery shatter for the collection.. this is great! I only tried it over Into The Night and Just Spotted the Lizard because I felt it showed up better. I'm not sure if OPI changed their shatter formula or not but I had amazing shatter results with this one. I do my nail in three parts starting from one side, middle, other side then add a top coat to make it glossy. I bet this would look awesome over the other cremes in the collection that are lighter in color. You can check those out HERE in the press release.
Overall, I really enjoyed these. I'm glad OPI did something a bit out of the box for this collection and are keeping up with current polish trends as far as finishes and such.

OPI: My Pointe Exactly + Hippity Hop

I have another OPI soft shade and Girly Bits polish for you today!  OPI My Pointe Exactly is a gray jelly that is so squishy, I love it! Girly Bits Hiippity Hop is a collection of hex glitters big and small, all shiny and gorgeous with a little iridescent shimmer thrown in for fun. I did three coats of My Pointe Exactly then one coat of Hippity Hop and another coat of MPE over that.. except on my ring finger- as an accent I didn't put a top coat of My Point Exactly over it. The inset picture is a close up of my accent finger so you can see the glitters in Hippity Hop. I love this mani.. finally a gray jelly! The glitter sandwich also softens the look of Hippity Hop if you wanted to have a more delicate glitter mani, this one's for you!

Stamping Sunday!: Deborah Lippmann Constant Craving (Easter Mani)

This week's theme for Stamping Sundays was Easter (kind of obvious). I started with two coats of Deborah Lippmann: Constant Craving which is a pink that has purple/dusty undertones. The formula on this was OK, it was a little streaky but evened out pretty well thought I'm sure a 3rd coat would have benefited it.  I free handed a rabbit on my accent finger then used Shany SH08 to stamp a cute little chick sitting in the grass (used Milani White) then stamped with Bettina Mojito and CH16 for "grass". (also used Mojito to draw the grass around the chick). Overall not a bad mani, I have two more to show you as well (check it out below)
Happy Easter everyone!

Decals (custom and in stock) can be purchased from my Etsy store.
