So, I'm a huge sucker for purples, have I mentioned that? :-p But I also really LOVE glitter and so I thought I'd try China Glaze's C-C-Courage, from the Wizard of Ooh Ahz collection in 2009. It's not bad, but I wouldn't call it one of my top purples.
It does however look great on toes over OPI Purple with a purpose (but you won't see pics of my tootsies on here so, take my word for it). If you're not expecting glittery shimmer with this polish then you will love it, the purple is a very true purple and the formula is easy to apply and is opaque in 2 coats. Outside you can see the micro glitter and inside it looks like a creamy shimmer.. OK, so may be it's not that bad after all.. But.... check it out with Color Club's Tru Passion over it! YES! YES! LOVE IT! Layering this, you get the benefit of Tru Passion's glitter and the color of Courage coming through it. This mani was a win, I'd do it again when I need a mellow but not boring purple, and when I need a sparkly purple, I'd add the glitter :)
I agree it looks way better with the glitter!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, the color looks so much better with the extra glitter on top.
ReplyDeleteThat Color Club glitter collection was amazing. And I thought, at first, that the title of this post was "More Shity Please" and I was wondering why. Hm, need my glasses.
