Halloween Tombstones

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am not talented in the art department, so be nice in your comments :)
I was swatching Halloween manis and this one took on a life of it's own. I wanted to do ghosts that looked like a sheet you would wear with the eyes and mouth cut out but then I tilted my head and noticed the shape looked more like a tombstone... hence this mani was born. I first did a base coat of white, then took my clean up brush dipped in acetone and removed/shaped the top of the tombstones. Then I took a gray polish and used a nail striper brush to put some random markings, next I mixed the gray and white together to do another striping coat to add a little more dimension to it. Like I said, not an artist and this just seemed reasonable LOL... The bottom "grass" I did with a small nail art brush and used Color Club Perfect Molten. I like this mani but doing 4 tombstones is over kill for me, I'd like it better as an accent nail :) I also couldn't add the periods between the letters because there wasn't enough room for it to still look ok, so instead of R.I.P. it just says RIP :) haha! I also over did it on Halloween manis so you'll see extras coming up this weekend!

  4. Fun! These are so good :)
I love the shading on them and that they don't cover the whole nail :D
