China Glaze: On Safari- A Few Swatches

I have a few more of the China Glaze On Safari collection for you today. I showed you Manhunt and Kalahari Kiss, now I have 4 new ones for you including a glitter. Let's get to it (descriptions from press release where you can also see the remaining colors from this collection)
Call of the Wild: Beautiful chocolate brown-dark cherry blend
I used two coats for this and it applied like a dream, I cannot wait to water marble with this one!

Adventure Red-y: Vivid red
Two coats on this with no application problems, again cannot wait to use this one to marble with, it is super pigmented as most seem to be in this collection. It's a bit of a blue red and very warm.

I’m Not Lion: Glistening gold and multi-color glitter
This should be called "I'm so sparkly I don't play well with Monkey's camera" It's amazing. This was two coats with minimal nail line, love the holographic glitter in it.. reminds me of a champagne version of fairy dust.
Little less blurred so you can see the tone.

Exotic Encounters: Lush green crème with blue undertones
Two very opaque coats of this creme and I was good to go, no top coat on this one either. Just a very soothing color.

From the colors I have of this collection, which is 6, I would say that they are all effort less in regards to application and intense in regards to pigment. I stamped with Manhunt for my 4th of July mani and it showed perfectly. Not super unique colors but for Fall they are right on and you cannot beat the formula.

  4. Funny to think of Adventure Red-y as a blue red yet still a warm shade, but it is. I bought this one right off from hearing about the amazing opaque cream it was. It did not fail with the bottle I got - covers to full opaque in 1 coat but I did use 2 to get longer wear. Now it's gone to wait for fall in my stash. But I am finding I am going through my like reds that don't have as good of formula and passing them off to donation. I need to thin my stash way down and this is one way to do that...keep the best of the similar shades that have the best formula. End the end I will reach 99.999% of the time for a formula that is not going to be difficult to level and will cover fast. I am not the most patient person when it comes to messing with mani/pedis despite I like to look at all the fun stuff folks are doing now with nail art - I still am a real purist when it comes to loving one shade with the occasional sponging or stripping on my tips of another color. There are some good creams in this fall collection from CG - though nothing is that unique in the collection really - certainly the red and blue have been done a lot of times. I am still lusting over Exotic Encounters. But I have about 15 at least of really similar shades and more than half have a great formula that covers fast/easy and good leveling on them. Of course when I went into an out of my area Sally's yesterday while I am off on a ton of medical stuff - they were sold out of Exotic Encounters - no surprise there, it was a Sally's close to a Univ campus and I think in general teals go fast. It's a shade most folks can wear. I am not liking at all the Call of the Wild - it's like a # of vampy shades I have had that make my hands look too red. I have to be really careful when I get into that range on color picks.
