This was my first attempt at a border mani using glitter.. boy was I in for it! So I started with two coats of Milani Rapid Cherry (could do one generous coat without problems), then took Gold which is a large hex glitter in a clear base and dabbed an outline. So, problems with this was that Gold sits in a very thick clear base that makes it hard to separate the glitters and since they clump together, you get a much thicker layer than anticipated. This by no means is a home run manicure but if you were showing this to someone who was not familiar with border manis and nail art, they may be impressed at your "new idea". Either way, I kind of love red and gold together :)
