OPI: Skyfall Collection (007 James Bond Swatches)

Hi Monkeys, let's get to it, after the jump are individual swatches of the Skyfall Collection for Holiday 2012 (available now).

The Living Daylights- teal, rust, gold and silver hex glitters in a clear base

An Autumn orange with red undertones and fantastic shimmers, 2 coats

Yellow golden glitter in a clear base that is extremely reflective and eye catching, this was 2 coats, 3 would have made it more opaque (looks like gold leafing)

A berry red with flecks of pink shimmer that reflects light and turns golden, 2 easy coats

Gold flecks in a deep forest green creme (my favorite of the dark colors), 2 coats with no top coat so you can see the flecks without photo light reflection

An Orangey Red with again the fabulous pink/gold flecks, 2 coats of easy application

Micro Glitters in steel gray, blue and gold make up these 2 coats of awesomeness. This would probably be fantastic layered over a dark blue, the way light plays off of it is amazing.

A burnt brick red creme, 2 flawless coats with 1 coat of The Living Daylights as an accent.

This one is tricky. It's a blurple that leans towards purple (make any sense?) It shifts and is a bit darker than this photo but the hue is the most accurate I could get. This is 2 coats and the shimmer in this is fabulous too!

A deep plum creme, 2 coats to even out the formula and get full opacity, accent is The Living Daylights, great combo!

A steel blue/gray frost that was opaque in 2 coats. I top coated this then noticed it showed streaks more than with no top coat. Accent finger is The Living Daylights.

Micro glitters of pink and taupe make up these 3 coats. You can see it is not fully opaque, this would be beautiful as one coat layered over Skyfall or Casino Royale!

My overall impression of the Skyfall collection: I don't know what OPI found to put in the shimmers to make them so light reflective and eye catching but it is amazing, and I have not seen anything like it before. They rate up there with their DS line that has diamond dust in it. I love how the collection has so much depth, the shimmers can look like just a dark creme but when it catches the light, it transforms to be multi-dimensional.  The Living Daylights is a great chunky glitter because the colors are so on for fall and since they are all the same sized hex, there's no second guessing what colors are included in this beauty.

As with all OPI nail lacquers, these shades inspired by Skyfall contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application.
This limited edition promotion will be available beginning October 2012 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for  $8.50 ($9.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.

  6. I am pretty nuts for You Only Live Twice - it's more red-rasberry than my former magenta winter glass fleck fav - OPI's Let Me Entertain You. I was suprised I liked GoldenEye - I don't like glitters but this one is really different and the color is so spectacular. My Tomorrow Never Dies is much much more blue than yours is looking here - this one looks more like Suzie and the 7 Dusseldorfs from the Germany collection. Mine is very blue with only a hint of purple to it. I did not buy Moonraker since I really don't like Frost finishes and I don't look good in power blue shades at all. I also did not buy the glitter one as I am not a fan of glitters anymore. All in all I think this is a much better holiday collection release than was last yrs from OPI with their Muppets collection....OPI got the word we don't want 6 bottles of different shades of glitter in a colletion anymore! Really encourage you all to look for the Man With the Golden Gun 18kt topper..it's really limited and going to be hard to get hold of...the Zoya one is sold out already....and somehow (even thou have not received my Zoya one yet) I think the OPI one is going to be the better of the 2 in looking like real gold flake on the nail...I snagged 3 bottles of Gold Gun and am hording 2 of them!
