Le Metier de Beaute: Paint the Town! and Deck The Nails

Le Métier de Beauté’s Bauhaus Eye Kaleidoscope | Holiday 2012

Regal and rich in jewel and earthy tones, Le Métier de Beauté unveils a ravishing, new limited edition Kaleidoscope Eye Kit: Bauhaus. Drawing inspiration from the Bauhaus movement that influenced famed runways of Caroline Herrera and Cynthia Rowley alike, the latest eye kaleidoscope combines chic metallics with vibrant chocolate and scarlet hues for a bold, wearable lid look. “Modernization is as feverishly popular as ever, and a little touch of Bauhaus never hurt anyone,” says Mikey Castillo, Director of Color for Le Métier de Beauté.

Shades include (from top to bottom):

  • Axiom: sublime bronzed umber
  • Graphic: silver liquid metal
  • Crucible: rich pomegranate
  • Genre: deep gun metal

Kaleidoscope Eye Kits create a prism of colors for the eye with Le Métier de Beauté’s Couches de Couleur* application technique in one compact. The kaleidoscope is easy to carry and has a mirror on the top for on-the-go touchups.

Application Tips: Layer shades from top to bottom using the Couches de Couleur* technique to create a prism of color for the eye; colors can be worn individually, but really work best when worn together, layered to bring out dimensional eyelids.

Inspiration: A school in Germany famous for an approach to design that it publicized and taught, the Bauhaus movement brought to life an architectural aesthetic that continues to impact art, fashion and now beauty.

*Couches de Couleur: translated as “layers of color” is a proprietary application technique that uses Le Métier de Beauté’s finely milled True Color Eye Shadows to create a beautiful prism of colors and multidimensional look for the eyes.
