OOOOO! Hello pretty! This is OPI Turquoise Shatter and boy is it pretty! I laid down a base of Orly's Pure Porcelain first; a very neutral muted white/nude. This shatter seems to crack much better than the silver. I'll have to revisit the silver and try again.
Check out the shimmer in this baby! woooo wooo! It's a bright (not as in neon bright) but as in cheery bright turquoise. I tried out different angles this time too. The first picture is the normal application of vertical usual. On my index finger I did a thin layer and it resulted in small cracks.
For this one I just changed my middle and ring fingers. Middle one has light pressure and application at an angle. It doesn't look to bad but I like the real crack look. My ring finger was a fail; I tried to do it horizontally. I could deal with the angles but the horizontal I can't hang with. I like my shatter vertical and chunky.
I decided to wear the vertical chunky application as a full manicure because the blue is so gorgeous and the pure porcelain below is such a great combo, I really like this mani. And here I thought I was over shatters/crackles- no way! Everyone has them now so each company is upping their game and we as consumers benefit from it :D WIN!
So wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
Pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI like how you shattered in different directions . It gives it totally new look .
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, can't wait to get this!
ReplyDeleteDo you use a top coat between your base color and crackles? I can't seem to get the blue or turquoise to work very well...Actually, hardly at all, no matter how thick/thin I put them on! I'm wondering if it's because I us SV first?
ReplyDeleteI don't use a top coat and it very well could be your sv because I tried it over a current mani with a sv top coat when I first got it just to see it and it didn't shatter at all. try it without, let me know! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI JUST bought this shatter! :) I luv it! It's such a gorgeous color.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Turquoise Shatter. I'm wearing it right now :)
