China Glaze: Velvet Bow, BM 213 and a Reindeer

Alrighty! Another polish from China Glaze's holiday 2011 collection: Velvet Bow. It's a red creme that's rich in tone and was opaque in two coats (I've showed you this one before), but for my accent nail I did a white base and put a holiday reindeer decal over it. I purchased the decal off of ebay and was sad because they did not have sticky backs, so basically you soaked it in water to get it off the paper then it slid all over your nail. The ones I make don't do this, they have sticky backs after soaking so I'm not sure if this was different paper or just a bad batch... Anyways, then I took my Bundle Monster plates and stamped white sleds using Konad polish then topped it all off with a coat of Seche Vite and called it a day!

  1. What kind of paper do you use to make decals?

  2. I like this shade. It's been kind of a sleeper in the CG holiday collection. But I think it has legs in that it's a nice vampy red you wear all year long. I like to find a few shades in holiday collections that are not limited just to holiday only.
