OPI: Holiday 2013 Swatches- Part 1

This year's holiday collection was a collaboration with Mariah Carey. There are lots of reds and plenty of bling to go around. The collection also has 6 liquid sands which I'll show you in part two. Onto the swatches.. there are 12 so after the jump you can see the individual swatches and comments.

 A true classic candy apple red creme, 2 coats applied smoothly.

 A magenta shimmer that applies like a cream, 2 coats.

 A medium red jelly with silver glitter suspended. Formula on this one was thick, be patient and apply 3 thin coats for full dark and deep coverage. 

 A dense light gold glitter suspended in a clear base that is super reflective (think disco ball on your nails), 2 coats and great formula and coverage.

 A classic candy apple red but this time with a hint of shimmer to it, 2 coats good application.

 Gold and iridescent glitter, this one shines! It's quite thick and too pigmented to be a top coat, 2 coats shown, 3 would be much more opaque and at certain angles with light you will see VNL.

 The token purple of the collection it's a deep purple with red undertones and a hint of shimmer. 2 coats and application was perfect.

 Large silver holographic sequins in a clear base. I took them out with a dotting tool and strategically placed them on the nail. Great for easy nail art. 

 Real reflective gold glitter in a clear base, opaque in 2 coats and not too thick or gritty.

 A smokey deep brown with a shimmer of gray, 2 coats and application was perfect. Love this shade!

 Another fabulous glitter, this time champagne micro glitter combine with slightly larger black glitter to give your nail some depth and interest. This was 2 coats and application was easy.

A deep red wine creme that is opaque in 2 coats and has no application problems. Beautiful for fall..

This half of the collection is quite great. The formulas on all except one were not too thick and applied with minimal effort. I like that there are different tones of reds to match any skin tone and the glitters are show stoppers- they are so incredibly shiny and still easy to apply. The second half I have the 6 new liquid sands for you.... stay tuned!
