OPI: Gwen Stefani Holiday Collection, part 2 of 2

Hi Monkeys! I have the second part of the Gwen Stefani collection from this past holiday season. The first part (most of the reds) are HERE. You could probably still find these. The second part is full of great polishes, check them out!

Hi Monkeys, Happy New Year! I have the first part of the very large polish collection from Gwen Stefani that was released for the holiday 2014 season.
Here we go!

A red creme that is a bit jelly and has a some orange intentions

A true red that isn't quite a creme but not a jelly.. just squishy fun

A stunning red shimmer creme with fantastic glass flecks of goodness

A deep rich purple with a hint of shimmer, love this one!

These are just a few of the new Gwen Stefani colors... more in another post. So far, there are lots... LOTS of reds.. makes sense because it's Gwen's signature color but.. may be a little over kill on the reds.. unless you really love reds. Personally, I can only wear warm colored reds so I'm biased :)

Pure Ice: Holiday 2014 swatches

Pure Ice has done it again with a great holiday collection of sparkling top coats! I layered most over black so you can see the gold to green sheen it has in the clear base. I love the formula for these and they're perfect for New Years and even Valentine's Day and St. Patty's day!

Sally Hansen: Salon Effects Nail Stickers Halloween edition!

Happy Halloween monkeys! I have a little something different for you today- Sally Hansen Salon Effects! These are all Halloween themed but they're different finishes. The haunted house scene is a great glow in the dark set (excited about this one!), the glitter set is really cute silver skulls on black glitter with a pink glitter bow (blurred for your glittery pleasure), and the foil set is super cute as well with lips and vampire fangs (love this!). The cool thing about the foil is that the black is super shiny too as a foil so it all shines and is eye catchy. The last set is the real lace and I didn't use those yet because they weren't strictly Halloween, so I'll post something fun with those soon. Overall very cute Halloween edition Salon effects and I had fun spreading the Halloween spirit with friends to try these out! 
They're super easy to do by the way: cleanse and dry your nail, peel the sticker off and apply, then trim down the decal and file off the excess. Add a top coat to seal it in if you'd like. They now come off with warm water and peel right up! Couldn't be easier!

OPI: Peanuts Collection for Halloween 2014!

A few months ago, OPI released images of the Peanuts collection for Halloween this year. I was stoked about the glitters, they looked so different from any glitters OPI has done recently or ever! I managed to do a cute Charlie Brown themed mani and even got a few compliments on it while out and about :)

I did the signature yellow (Good Grief) then an accent and chevron stripes in black (Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?). I alternated the glitters on Good Grief: little finger has To Be Or Not To Beagle (LOVE this one!) and that's on the top of my middle and index fingers along with all on my accent, Where's My Blanket is on the accent finger as well (mixed in with TBONTB) and on the bottom of the chevrons. 

Good Grief has your usual yellow problems and would benefit from a base of white underneath to make it brighter and smoother. Beagle is awesome though with red, yellow, blue, green, orange, light blue, light green glitters mingled in a light black base with small black round glitter and small black bar glitters. The small glitters are the same in Where's My Blanket but the large glitters are only a peach and subtle lime green.

Each of the four shades is also available in the Little Peanuts mini pack, which is sold with ten nail decals ranging from popular Peanuts phrases like “Good Grief!” and “Pow!” to sketches of Snoopy and the signature squiggle of Charlie Brown’s shirt.

OPI: Ford Mustang Collection - swatches

Hi Monkeys! Today I have the OPI Mustang collection for you  and it's pretty eclectic. I have full swatches after the jump and these are available now! 

Milani: Bella Blue (nail polish)

 Milani has a great line of blue hues (polish, mascara, lipstick) out this month... get them fast, they're limited editions! First up I have Milani Bella Blue for you. Soak it in. This is two coats with no top... it's that glassy. It's a blue that shifts to dark blue then to purple, the little flecks are amazing. Even though this has a black base to it, you can still see the colorful flecks. I'm a fan of Bella Blue for sure. It's available at Walgreen, Kmart, and Fred Meyer stores this month. Or you can order online and see the rest of the collection (which I'll have for you soon) HERE.

OPI: Coca Cola Collection- swatches

I I have the OPI Coca Cola collection for you today. It's limited edition and a mix of eclectic colors that includes one of my new favorites. These are available in June-- more info, thoughts of the collection and individual swatches after the jump.

Finger Paints: Pastel Rain- swatches

Hi Monkeys, I have Finger Paints' new collection for you called Pastel Rain and it's perfect for spring time and Easter! You can find out more about their collections online or follow their Facebook page. You can find these at Sally's Beauty and they should be out now but they're limited edition so get them while you can!

Crystal Springs is a silver shredded glitter topper that has mall blue and yellow round glitters mingled with holographic shredded larger pieces.

Dream I Can Fly is my favorite of the collection, it's a perfect minty blue creme and the formula is great, opaque in 2 coats. 

Shower With Flowers is a green and silver glitter topper. Matte lime green hexes mingled with small lime bar glitters and even smaller silver round glitter.

Mistful Thinking is such a cool color. I liked it much more on the nail than in the bottle. It's a lime green-yellow creme that is opque in 2 coats, very unique color.

Pink of Pixie is a glitter topper made of matte medium hex glitters in pink, small pale pink bar glitter, small round holographic silver glitters, such a pretty topper!

Springtime Bloom is a soft pink creme that is still pastel but bright and cheery, not dusty. Application was great with two coats for full opacity.

Final thoughts on this collection is I like it a lot, it is cheery without looking like pastel chalk.  The glitter toppers can go over any of the colors even pink on pink or green on green and you can still see the glitters pop. Plus, I like Finger Paints' handle, it's great to hold onto for manis. :)

OPI: Push and Shove and Over & Over A-Gwen- swatches

I have the last two polishes from OPI's Gwen Stefani collection for you. You can see the previous ones HERE. So today I have Push and Shove, Over and Over A-Gwen and a cute mani using 3 of the polishes from this awesome collection.

 First, here's a real simple mani you can do using Over & Over A-Gwen, 4 In The Morning and  Push & Shove. It's a little shiny rocker-chic with three different finishes. 4 In The Morning didn't really show as well over Push & Shove but it still looks leathery or rubbery so it works well. Plus, you can't go wrong with Push & Shove because it's pretty fantastic.

 The signature red hue of Gwen Stefani. This is such a cherry bomb color, I love it! Only thing I don't like about red polishes is the clean up is hard and it doesn't remove from the cuticle as easy. 

Push & Shove is amazing. This chrome\foil\metallic finish is breath taking. It literally looks like mercury on your nail. You start with Lay Down That Base (special base coat for this finish), and do two thin coats of color making sure that the first is dry or else you will get drag. No top coat necessary and it dries quickly so you're good to go soon after application. It's a big impact for little effort, love this!

As a quick comparison, Big Apple Red is super duper close to Over & Over A-Gwen but may be a bit darker. Very very hard to tell on the nail though, but the Gwen is much better in my opinion because you get the awesome bottle and packaging which includes a bunch of Swarovski studs for nail art! Worth it. :)

NOPI: Dove Chocolate Sweepstakes- Info and Swatches!

Remember when I told you about the Dove Sweepstakes? Well, I have the polishes for you today, and I'll tell you about the chocolate and sweepstakes afterwards.

 Better After Dark is a reddish chocolate shimmer, I did two flawless coats and it's as smooth as..... Dove chocolate.

Promises in the Dark is a deep brown that looks black. This creme is a two coater and settles nicely.

These came to me with a package of Dove Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Squares.... If there were any left, I'd show you but.... they're gone, all of them... and they were delicious. I really enjoy dark chocolate, the darker the better so it was obvious the creamy silky texture of Dove chocolates is a favorite of mine. The salted caramels were in dark chocolate and was a great compliment to the creamy caramel. The filling melted in your mouth and was not stringy when you bite into it, perfect!
