Challenge Tag

TAG! I'm it! Cris from Let Them Have Polish  tagged me for this challenge....

Here are the Rules:

1. Go to your lacquer stash
2. CLOSE your eyes and pull 3 random items - JUST 3
3. Create a mani from them
4. Post your mani when you post the tag
5. Tag 3 bloggers
I ended up with O.P.I Do You Think I'm Tex-y, Sephora for OPI Mermaid to Order and China Glaze Joy.
Because I had just organized my polishes, I had my hubbo pick my challenge polishes.  Yeaaaa... I ended up with a sorbet, shimmer and a metallic.  Behold, my starring cast:

The only thing I could think of doing was a stripe mani.  Do You Think I'm Tex-y is my bottom layer, Mermaid to Order on my ring finger... all taped off with nail art tape and painted over with Joy (haha, painted over with Joy).  I knew I had to put the sorbet on the bottom because it is not opaque by any means and sandwiching either of the other two colors between it would have been a major fail.  I knew that Joy would be opaque in one coat and a decent color to put over the other two.. so.... this is what I ended up with.

What do you think of this? I like the idea but would for sure do a different base color.  The Joy/Mermaid combo I could live with.

Now to tag 3 bloggers... If you haven't already been tagged... these ladies do some great art :D
