China Glaze: Skyscraper

This is the last polish I have for you from China Glaze's Metro Collection for Fall 2011- Skyscraper. This polish is pretty shiny and detailed.

It's a denim blue base (jellyish) that has major silver and light blue glitter in it. It almost looks like it has black glitter but I think it's just the silver or blue sunk into the base.

This was 2 coats and there's still some VNL. I think next time I'll layer it over a gray or silver to help with opacity. It took a thick top coat and was still a bit bumpy but was bearable.  I like this color I just want to do more with it than a plain mani but I'm not sure what.

Currently taking suggestions!

I included a close up of the glitter for you as best I could, you can enlarge it even more if you want to see that much detail.

  2. This was the first one I bought out of the Metro set. I am major into denim blue right now. You can base coat it with Calypso by Scherer Chameleon - or I think it's called Blue Cloud also same brand - available at Rite Aide - not a great formula but the color works well and does not dim the CG denim shade that makes Skyscraper so unique.

  3. Oooooooo is that ever pretty... I splurged for the OPI fall collection but have been eyeballing these hard for awhile now, this one may just set it over the mark! Was it a monster to take off?

  4. I layered it over 2 coats of China Glaze First Mate and it looked great. I love your swatches!
