Zoya: Raven + Ozotic 505

This combo was pretty great. I did two coats of Zoya Raven which is a solid black creme and it has a hint of shimmer but it's barely there. This was from their trio that included their 18K gold top coat. Over Raven, I did one coat of Ozotic 505 which is a  duo.....chrome.... shimmer? It's not exactly like one of the China Glaze Bohemians over black because it has that shimmer to it so it doesn't feel as "oil slick" but rather more shimmery. It's a cool combo, you can see where the turquoise to purple to blue happens depending on where the light is hitting it. Still one of my favorite top coats over black.

Zoya: Cho & Ozotic 509 & BM 310

This mani was a cool holo combo! Usually I don't stamp over holo because I want to see the holo in all its glory but this was an exception. I started with two coats of Zoya Cho (nude creme base), then did one coat of the silver linear holo of Ozotic 509 then took my BM310 plate (which is in my giveaway!) I stamped using Bettina Over Dyed (check out how awesome that stamps!). I'm not sure why this chipped after 2 days, perhaps I didn't wrap my tips with a top coat. What do you think? Simple yet holo with a splash of color :)

Essie: No More Film, Ozotic 509 and M85

Today's mani is one of my recent favorite holo stamping jobs. I started off with two coats of Essie No More Film and stamped from the Konad M85 plate using Ozotic 509. No More Film is quite the blurple, it looks really navy here but it really is a purple that has super strong blue influences. Ozotic 509 is a silver linear holo that is amazing. I have never stamped a holo over a dark color so this was a bit of an experiment. I blurred pictures so you could see how it really looked.. love it! I did a top coat of SV as well and the holo is not dulled. Application of No More Film was great. It seems to me that Essie's formulas are better than when all they had were an array of pinks in their arsenal.

Stamping Sunday!: Ending in 9- cheeky 39

Today's stamping Sunday was a choice: birthday or ending in 9 or a girly mani (coordinator's daughter is turning 9, Happy Birthday sweetie!). But ya, my mani is not exactly birthday or girly... I did black and white skittles then a coat of Ozotic 509 (silver holo) the stamped in Milani White on The Spot (over the black) and their Black (over White). It didn't turn out like I envisioned it because the Ozotic was much more opaque than I anticipated but it's still holo nonetheless. I blurred the pictures a bit so you could see the holo but it was much more apparent in real life. I think this image will be a fabulous one once fine tuned (like I said, they're still in testing stages) but it's super cute and I may retry this mani without the Ozotic to be more of an abstract look.

Summer Challenge: Swimming Pool (using CH36)

There's a new challenge that was started and you'll see me participating throughout the summer months. You can check out everyone else's below :) Today's theme was "swimming pool" so I created this mani using the new Cheeky plates (you can see part of the new set HERE and follow them for more previews).  I started with a white base then one coat of Orly Skinny Dip which is a shimmery light baby blue, topped with a coat of Ozotic 506 for texture/sparkle and on my accent finger I did 2 coats of Nubar Hot Fuchsia which is a great neon. I stamped the sunglasses with it and the umbrellas using Milani Yellow Whiz and the suns using Milani White About Now. The flippers were stamped using Milani Black Magic. I really enjoyed creating this design for the challenge. I have another one for you tomorrow so stay tuned, but in the mean time, check out the rest of the swimming pool manis and follow Cheek on Facebook to see more plate previews!

Bettina: Over Dyed and Ozotic 528

I have another Bettina and Ozotic for you today. Bettina Over Dyed is a deep demin blue creme that is fabulous in coverage and application. I used two coats then slapped a coat of Ozotic 528 over it. 528 is a clear base with small color shifting glitter. You can see it shifts from teal, blue, pink, red, orange... it's all there and amazing! I really love this combo and I topped it with SV to finish the look and smooth out the Ozotic. I'm slowly becoming obsessed with the Ozotics and layering lately.

Ozotic: 506 over Zoya Savita

I have a great color shifting polish for you today. Ozotic 506 over Zoya Savita. Savita is a deep plum purple matte polish that I used 2 coats of for a base of two coats of 506. Over this purple base, 506 flashes a pink, purple, blue and it's fabulous! I topped with a coat of SV and it wore like a charm for 3 days until I changed it. I really love the Ozotics, and I have a few more of them for you soon, in the meantime, enjoy a purple post :-)
