Stamping Sunday!: Goth! (BM 325 &314)

Welcome to another addition of Stamping Sundays! This week's theme was Goth. I sorta.. did a spin on it. I first used OPI Strawberry Margarita (I'm obsessed with this color) then sponged Zoya Dove over it to make it a little less "Barbie" and more "Coraline". I grabbed my go to black for stamping: Milani Black Magic. My new Bundle Monster plates arrived today so I played with BM 325 for the skull and vine tips and BM 314 for the devil heart bat image. I used Stripe Rite stripers in silver and a holo dark silver (see below for blurred picture). Over all I really love how the base turned out but as far as the stamping images... UGH! I HATE the fact that they images face the base of my nail instead of the tip.. It makes no sense to me. I also found the tips really large and thick and I prefer a thinner french tip. but seriously... they're upside down and this alone will keep me from using the tips for their intended direction.

Summer Challenge: Hippie neon flower nails (fun 2 plate)

Today's Summer Challenge was Hippie themed so I thought these would be appropriate. I used neon stripers from Stripe Rite from It's so Easy to do vertical lines then I stamped using black Konad polish and the Fun 2 plate. I really like this design, I just wish I positioned the flower windows better, like on my little finger where you can see it is a flower petal. Not too shabby though.

Purple Split Mani with Rhinestones

I have more It's So Easy nail art for you today. This one's simple, you could do it! I started with two coats of Nubar Lavendar- the perfect lavender creme then I taped off and used Essie No More Film from the 2012 Resort collection. No More Film is a dark purple with blue intentions. I used one of the Stripe Rite from It's So Easy that had holo and silver glitter in a clear base (blurred for your pleasure). Then I grabbed to different shaped rhinestones and added those in.
There is one awesome thing about the rhinestone box I received for review... it's a picker upper tool that is amazing. You can see the tool and the rhinestone box. The tool has little silicone feeling cupped ends and it picks up the stones without doing a dot of clear polish to get it to stick to the tool.  I have never used a tool like this for rhinestones and I must say, it makes it super easy and convenient, especially for the odd sized or shaped stones because you can rotate the picker upper and not be rushed because your stone won't stick to your tool if you take longer to place it.
Check out their site to see where to purchase these and you can look at your local Sally's Beauty if there's one in your area.

Orly: Glowstick with Neon Stripers

I was recently sent a whole lot of nail art fun stuff, including stripers.. I have little experience with them but wanted to show you that you can have fun with them and don't have to be an artist. I did this mani and I quite liked it, even though it smeared when I top coated it. I used a base coat of white then two coats of Orly Glowstick which is an incredibly bright neon yellow (think fresh highlighter bright). I then took neon purple, pink, green and orange and just played around with striping from each side of the nail. The stripers are easy to use; much easier than my nail art striping brush and they are very opaque, I only went over a few lines twice to darken them.
This brand of striper is called It's So Easy, here's a bit about them:
