China Glaze: Attraction (Magnetix)

I've had a few of the China Glaze Magnetix for a while now but hadn't got around to swatching them. This one is a charcoal gray/black shimmery base and the magnet I used was the China Glaze one (more on that later). I was talking with Sarah from Samarium's Swatches and we decided to add some holo to our magnetics. I was running low on Spectra Flair but I added some in the polish but it wasn't showing up on camera (top picture) so I added the SF top coat (I had put spectra flair in a suspension base so it never gloops together). You couls see the holo alot better with just one coat. It was still much more holo in person but you get the idea. I think this is a great idea to do with the magnetics. The formula on these are ok, they're a bit tricky. I thin it would be best to do a base of black or gray then a thin coat of the magnet polish. I seemed to have had better results with a thinner coat of polish. This one was two coats of Attraction (show you the one coat method later).
My giveaway has ended and I've announced the winners on my FB page, they've all been notified :)

  2. I love the holo you added, so pretty! I'm still on the fence about the China Glaze Magnetix polishes, but I'll probably end up getting at least one to try them out.

  3. I love this polish. The stores around here haven't even heard of Magnetix. They even called the China Glaze Distributor on the Island and they knew nothing about it! You will be finding them as dusties before they ever make it here.

  4. I can see the holo. Sounds like a ton of work. I am lazy I guess - I want it in the bottle and all ready to go! The CG magnetics are not out here yet and not even in the back at Sally's. Some folks are saying the magnets are not strong enough - but looking at yours, I like the more soft drift this magnet is giving. Now when I finally get one or two of these to try I am going to want to have holo on mine and I don't have the 'stuff' other than I do have some suspension media.
