My Le Metier de Beaute Afternoon of Healthy Skin

Hi Monkeys! Happy Day! I have a rather long, fun and informative post for you today; I hope you love it as much as I loved prepping for it! :) Onto the good stuff!
Recently I was a lucky Monkey and got the opportunity to experience some amazing skin  care products from Le Metier de Beaute. Now, you've seen me review some of their products before but this is different because it was an actual service provided inside my Neiman Marcus. So the afternoon included my +1 (Katie) and we met Ben at the LMdB counter (more on him later, he's amazing), to get their new (and not yet available) face peel followed by all the necessity trimmings of skin care.

Le Metier De Beaute: Indian Summer 2012 (Penny Lane and Wild Ginger)

I have two great summer shades for you today courtesy of Le Metier De Beaute!!

Shades:

As with previous Le Metier de Beaute collections, these applied like butter and were all one coaters.  I didn't put a top coat on these and pictures were taken in my light box.

Le Metier de Beaute: Rock N Romance (Nordstrom exclusive)

I LOVE Le Metier de Beaute polishes.  This is the Rock N Romance collection and is exclusive to Nordstrom.  Currently the collection of 4 is on sale for $25 at Nordstrom.com.  The awesome thing about these polishes are that they are super pigmented and 3 of 4 of these were 1 coaters.  Let's get to it...

Chrome passion: a chocolate charcoal with sultry shimmer.
One coat, in light box.

Heat of the Night: a passionate black cherry.



Look at the shimmer in this baby! It has gold shimmer and is amazingly pigmented. This was one coat.





And here's a close up so you can appreciate the shimmer even more :)

Midnight Rendezvous: A shimmering, steely midnight blue.

This one is my favorite from the collection. It does remind me of a rock.... a very pretty, polished rock that has beautiful depth to it.











Depending on how you look at it, you can see the silver/gray shimmer peek out through the deep blue.
Stunning!








True Romance: a delicate pale rose with a subtle metallic nude finish.

This one was 2 coats. Since it is a metallic, it was kind of streaky, as all are but it looks great and I think highlights the shimmer more than if it was flat.  Really great shimmer!



As usual, Le Metier de Beaute has out done themselves! As I pointed out last time I reviewed for them, their bottles are small however, if you only need one coat for most of them, the price works out about the same as you would pay for a harder to find full size polish.  What's really awesome is this anniversary set is only $25 right now... great price to try out 4 polishes and fall in love with the brand.

Le Metier de Beaute: Anamorphic Lash Mascaras Summer 2011

 Recently I was surprised with these three beauties from Le Metier de Beaute :)  I have never swatched mascara so bare with me.  I will also try to do an evening post of polish for you as well.  From left to right we have: Jade, Aubergine and Midnight Blue.  There was also a lash growth serum in the package, which is being tried out over a period of time and I'll review later.

These are from the Anamorphic Lash Collection.

Jade is an olive deep green that's rich in depth. Midnight Blue is a true blue that reminds me of a lighter navy hue and Aubergine is a deep purple plum.  I swatched on my hand so you could see the true color of the mascaras and how pigmented they are. One of the things I really enjoyed with these was the formula, I had no clumps and my lashes did not stick together.

Here's a picture using the Penelope Kaleidoscope eye kit and Midnight Blue on the right and Aubergine on the left. I didn't curl my lashes before I applied the mascaras because I wanted to show how they don't stick together.

Another fabulous thing about this mascara is not only is it clump free but it is soft to the touch and doesn't flake off if you touch your lashes after you apply it.  I have really sensitive eyes and this mascara did not bother me at all after a full active day of wearing it. Between the light feel of the Penelope kit and the Anamorphic mascaras, I felt like I wasn't wearing eye make up- it was awesome. I forgot I had on eye make up at one point.

The wand and the shape of it, it's really soft but still holds the mascara well. Included in the package was also and eye lash curler. By far the best curler I have used.  It's cushy and curls great!

Le Metier de Beaute Penelope Kaleidoscope Eye Kit

First off let me start by saying I love make up. All my make up is MAC and I have a hard time finding new make up that doesn't irritate my skin. Well guess what, I found one :D

Left side: Pale Satin Amethyst (inner eye), Blonde Amber (middle of lid to outer lid), Bronze Topaz (crease and over the outer part of Blonde Amber. I primed with a MAC paint in a neutral color and used Mascara and a black MAC satin eye shadow to line my lid.
Right side: Black Emerald on outer lid, Blonde Amber on inner lid, same primer/shadow/mascara.

Le Metier De Beaute: Summer 2011- Mediterranean Holiday

This is a new brand I came across.  It was new to me anyways. Le Metier de Beaute sent me not only their 4 summer polishes but also their "Penelope" Kaleidoscope eye kit for review.  :D.  Onto the polishes! This post is picture heavy...

The awesome part is that they're all named after Greek Gods  :)
This is their new Summer 2011 collection: Mediterranean Holiday, enjoy!






First up is Eris- Rich bronze shields from chaos and finishes the nail in an armor of finery. (from pr)
This color is beautiful, love the fact that there's a pretty bronze polish out there.  I did two coats and it dries really fast.  If you enlarge the picture, you can see the shimmer in the polish.  The
 formula on all these polishes are nothing short of dreamy. 















Now, meet Athena, my new favorite nude shimmer.  It's a neutral metallic that dries fast, covers in two coats and looks creamy on your nails! The pictures look kind of 'sandy' and in a way it is a cross between sandy and champagne, which makes a great shimmery nude :)






 Look at how the polish reflects the light, it's a great effect and while the color is subtle, the metallic adds a texture to it that makes you stare. I don't own a polish like this one so it makes me very very excited to have this to wear.
