China Glaze: Kaleidoscope Him Out + Zebra

Hi everyone! I'm on vacation this week and moving once I get home so the next 3 weeks you'll see sporadic guest posts from some fabulous bloggers! I hope you enjoy the change in pace :)
This mani was an awesomely fun one because I'm resistant to doing animal print manis, sometimes I feel they are so cliche. Kaleidoscope Him Out is a light blue scattered holo which I used 4 coats in these pictures (would be much better over a base coat to save the polish). You can see while it's scattered, it's still very pretty and sparkly. I stamped zebra over it using my Fauxnaud (plates you get off ebay) 08. I have to say, it's either zebra or tiger but either way, it's really fun and I loved this mani!

China Glaze: Sexagon + OB5

I stumbled upon Sexagon while I was getting a pedicure with a friend out of state... random right. Sexagon is a silver scatter holo with linear intentions. I used 4 coats to get this coverage.. killed me. I much rather have used a silver base color and less Sexagon (I'll note that for next time).  Despite being a scattered holo, this polish is super holo. I wanted to jazz it up a bit and I love bows so I pulled out my fauxnaud plate OB5. I forget what polish I stamped with (sorry bout that) but the image is super cute and the one on my little finger looks a little drunk but still, it's fine. I like the pink bows over the silver holo. Next time, silver base and sober pinky.

OPI: DS Diamond + Julep Trina +OB8

The sun was briefly out today so I got the chance to swatch some of my untried holos. First up was DS Diamond. This polish was very pretty but I want more holo! haha It's kind of a dusty purple with mauve intentions and a semi linear holo affect. I did two coats and it was perfect. the pictures of it alone was with no top coat. I then picked up Julep Trina (another untried) and stamped using my fauxnaud OB8 plate in the checkers pattern. I really love the way this turned out. Trina stamped great (love finding new polishes to stamp with) and the combo for me was a win because of all the purple hues. I should add that even though Diamond is  not super holo, it definitely shows and the color alone in the shade is quite pretty.

Julep: Mandy and Hayden + OB10

I have a spring mani for you today! I used Julep Mandy as my main color; a dark coral pink creme that was opaque in two coats. My accent nail is Julep Hayden which is a great soft orange pastel creme, also opaque in two coats with no problems. I wanted to use my new fauxnaud plate I got off ebay, OB10 and some of the images did not stamp. I used Konad special black for over Mandy and on Hayden I used Bettina Aqua and Bonfire. You can see where the hearts didn't fully transfer (see the dots) it's still a super cute mani though and I got lots of compliments when I wore it. I topped with SV for that added shine and the Bettina smeared a bit but overall, it's a cheery mani and a win.

Essie: Knockout Pout with Pirate Stamping

This is probably one of my favorite manis to date right now. I started wtih 3 coats of Essie's Knockout Pout: a Pepto bright pink creme. I used 3 coats because my first was really sheer but if you did 2 generous ones, you'd be golden.  I got new plates off ebay and wanted to use them asap so I used the full image skull and crossbones stamped in Wet N Wild Black Creme from plate OB8. I used Konad special black and plate OB5 to stamp the big skull and crossbones. I used Konad special white and the same plate for the bow. I tried using a Kleancolors metallic for the bow but it didn't stand out enough, so I just stamped over it and you really don't notice it too much in person. I think this mani is a total win for me.

Last week to enter my giveaway, go check it out, Essies, make up, jewelry, cool polishes and more!
