Hi Monkeys! Today's 33 Day Challenge is a 3 color gradient with a pattern. I wanted to do fall colors because the weather is getting chillier! I started with a white base, painted half my nail with Zoya Darcy. I painted half my nail one coat so when I sponged over the white, it would be more opaque as yellows are pesky. I haven't sponged in a while so I'm a bit rusty but I used Milani Jiffy Orange and China Glaze IX for brown. I also stamped with IX for a fading effect. This is probably my most memorable gradient, I love it and it's perfect for fall. I included a picture of the mani before the stamping, Enjoy! You can follow me on Blog Lovin' now too!

Black & Purple Glitter Gradient
This reminds me a little of Halloween with the purple but I'll post it now anyways :) It's another easy sponge mani that I created for Milani. I started with Black Swift and sponged the purple glitter from my cuticles down in a V shape to change things up a bit. It'z a little gritty and could have used another round of top coat but hey, what do you want for a simple mani? :)

Nude Glitter Purple Gradient
Continuing with my glitter quest, I have for you another fun mani that's fun and super easy to do. I started with a clear base coat and took Milani Lavender and did a sponge gradient then took Fuchsia and sponged that on my accent finger but more heavy on the tip. If you're new at sponging, glitter is the best place to start. I take a dab of polish and put it on the back of a stamping plate or on an index card and use a make up wedge that I've cut into a more slender piece and literally dab away. Dip it in your polish, once or twice on the paper then onto the nail. If you start at the tip and go horizontal then vertical, you will get your gradient effect and have more glitter on the tip. Try it, it's really not that hard. I also like the way this looks just over clear polish, who says you need a base color to rock a gradient, not me!

Black Swift and Gold Glitz
Hey Monkeys! I have simple mani for you today that would be good for a Halloween party if you're not so good at nail art or if you're in a hurry. I started with 2 coats of Milani Black Swift and did a sponge gradient of Milani Gold Glitz from the tips up. This was part of the project some bloggers participated in for Milani's Pinterest boards using only Milani polishes. As of October 1st, Milani will be in Wal-Mart stores and will have a QR code on their display that when scanned, will take you to their Pinterest boards to check out all of our nail art using just the Milani products available in the display. This technique is super easy, especially witih Black Swift because it dries fast and is super opaque. All you need is a sponge (I use the make up wedges that are cheap and you can cut into different shapes and textures). I put some polish down in a blob on the back of a stamping plate (one without backing of course), then dip the sponge in and start at the tip of my nail first to get thicker coverage, then dab up toward the base of your nail (there's less and less glitter every time you dab so it's kind of brainless really). If you try this technique, tweet or email me your pictures, I may do a post with them :)

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday: Gradient with Dots
Another Monkey See Monkey Do Monday mani! This time I copied Amber Did It! because her gradient dotting was awesome. I'm still working on gradients but I did two coats of Zoya Arizona then sponged Milani Yellow Whiz (my go to yellow). Then I took my dotting tool and did dots with Zoya Arizona. The only thing I didn't really like about this mani is the bumps that the dots left on top of the already orange... but... I guess I could have stopped dotting. I could look at it as a texture for the top half of the nail I suppose. Either way, great idea and eas really fun to attempt. I'm still practicing so I'll probably have more gradients coming soon. Check out everyone else who participated in MSMD Mondays:
