Wet Cemet and Opal Glitter

So While I was out browsing the drug stores for the new Wet N Wild collections, I came across this Sinful Colors- Opal Glitter.  It's first of all a good suspension formula like that of their other iridescent glitters; it's almost gel like.  Since it is clear, I decided to layer it over Sally Hansen's Wet Cement.

I have wanted Wet Cement for a while and finally picked it up. If you are familiar with Zoya's Dove, Wet Cement is a darker gray and is more opaque. I did two coats but it covered really well in one.

I put two coats of Opal Glitter over the top with SV as a top coat to see how it would smooth out. It smoothed fine and was not lumpy.  First picture is taken under my daylight lamp, the opal doesn't come out as well and looks sparse.

Here it is, below, in my light box where I can better control the glare and angles. You can see the glitter effect much better.  It's quite the pretty manicure, I have this on my toes right now and I love looking at it. I was excited to find Opal Glitter because I love Sinfuls squishy glitters. It's a simple but fun mani.

Black Creme and Sinful Colors Ocean

Caution: flakey goodness ahead!!!  Why have I not tried this before?!
This is one coat of Wet N' Wild Black Creme (great for stamping too), and a layer or two of Sinful Colors Ocean.  I got Ocean from a giveaway from Painting Rainbows a while back and have been admiring it through the bottle for a while :).

So, Ocean is a flakey... the holo shiney flakes of fun suspended in a sheer green thick polish.  The only thing I don't like about flakies is the goopy formula they all come in because it takes forever to dry! May be if I add some thinner drops? Anyone have suggestions?

I love this is real life and it actually photos not too bad either.  I offset light in my light box and it seems to glow.. check it out....it's ok, you can stare :)

Contrasting Shimmer

outside cloudy light
I liked this mani in person... the thing that bugged me the most was the silver glittery polish I used was Color Club's Magic Attraction which didn't photograph right.  MA is this awesome silver holo glitter that's dense and in your face.  But may be since there was no sun out and it started to rain, there wasn't enough sun to show it's colors. Will for sure have to swatch this when it's sunny!

I laid down a black polish from Sinful Colors called "What's Your Name".  It's a black lacquer that has wonderful blue, purple and green micro glitter in it.  This color is fabulous in direct light and I'm sure would rock in the sunlight! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the shimmer.  I finished with a top coat of SV.
Thanks again to my sister in law for the guest modeling this week ;-)

More Mint! YUM!

sunlight at an angle....blue?

stamped and outside
sunlight outside.. green?
outside, with glitter!

This was my first encounter with Sinful Colors polish... not too shabby.  I picked up a few colors from them and this one is Mint Apple.  It's like a confused blue/green with frosty shimmers to it.  I saw the color in the bottle and thought "hhmm, is it blue? green? teal?" and the texture looked cool, which it is, so I picked it up.  It applies like a creme would- the pictures are 3 coats but you could do 2, I just had VNL (visible nail line) because my tips are super white.  I decided that I would try a stamp pattern I haven't done before, so I grabbed a bundle monster plate (BM17) and did french tips with Sinful Colors Secret Admirer.  More on the Secret Admirer later (it's like whoa awesome!).  Then to jazz it up, I added Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope dabbed over the tips.  My top coat was Orly no chip (forgot how strong it smelled! wowsa!). I think this would be a darling color for toes! This polish was a win, I don't own a color like it so that's a win too!

What do you think of the little bit of glitter in the stamping? Too much? Not enough?
