Movie Mani: Cheeky 51

One of the new cheeky plates, CH 51, is movie themed. What better mani to do for summer, than a movie themed one! I used Essie No More Film with a random accent of a NYC (that I don't remember the name of nor can I find the polish now). I stamped using Skinfood..these all have numbers to them instead of names so it's a light blue glitter that is super dense and awesome. I love the fast forward/play/rewind image, it's awesome! The popcorn is really cool too. I used some chunky silver glitter to jazz it up and add some sparkly bling. Sorry I don't remember all the polishes I used but this mani kind of took over a life on its own with creativity. The images stamp well for being not finalized production plates. Keep an eye out on Cheeky's Facebook page for more previews!

Skinfood: Pink Foil Glitter

I don't claim to know everything but if such a thing as a foiled glitter polish existed, this would be it. This is the amazing Skinfood polish is from their Pedicure Sparkle collection. Wow, just WOW!! I did two coats of this Barbie pink glitter/foil amazeness then topped it with SV to quick dry it. I couldn't just stop there, my hands needed more attention so others could admire this great polish!!! I stamped it with my bundle monster 2 plates using black special konad polish. I have never used this pattern before so I was hesitant but it was awesome and I love the intricate design but still being able to see the sparkle underneath.  I may just be a fan of pink and black as it is, but add the contrast of sparkle and the flat of the black and it's a total win for me. Really love me some Skinfood polishes!

My giveaway (doesn't include Skinfood but has current lemmings) I'm also planning on a Hawaiian themed giveaway if the followers hit 1000 by the end of this giveaway (it's on track to but we'll see!)

Skin Food: Taupe Shimmer

I have another awesome Skin Food polish for you today. We'll call this one a Taupe Shimmer (because remember, they don't have names, just numbers).

I applied 2 coats but you can get away with one, no problem. These polishes are so pigmented I love it!!  It's a taupe but it has a gold/champagne shimmer to it that is so pretty and eye catching.

I wanted to try my first funky french so I added black tips... they didn't exactly come out perfect but meh, it's ok because I changed the mani up after. You will have to wait and see how I changed it!

I like the look of black tips but I'm not crazy about them on this color.  It reminded me of a tuxedo for some reason.. but a brownish one. I like my revamp of it better.. stay tuned for that in a different post. I have a ways to go with perfecting the black tips but it wasn't too shabby for the first round. I mostly just wanted to show you the awesome Skin Food polish!

Skin Food: Red and Stamping

This is a polish that is an amazing red! It's Skinfood.. um... red. This was another mani that I did for a friend and I think she ended up liking it ;-)

I used ONE coat of Skinfood red... we'll just call it that because I don't understand the language on the back of the bottle.... ONE coat!!'

It's a rich rich red that has a little shimmer to it. She wanted me to stamp using a Mash plate. The design is quite complicated but looks ok, I have never used this design before.  I stamped using Sally Hansen Celeb City for some extra bling and sparkle.  Then I added rhinestones to the center of the flowers to try to make them stand out a bit in the busy pattern.

Here's a close up, it was so shiny my camera was tripping out a little so it's out of focus.  Looked great on her though!

Skin Food: Nude Shimmer

Skin Food is a new brand to me. I got a ton of amazing polishes in a swap I did with Charlene  who lives in Hong Kong.  These bottles are perfect to hold for pictures (bonus)!

I have no idea what the name is on this because the back is not printed in English so we'll call it the Skin Food Nude Shimmer.

I used two coats and a top coat of SV for this mani.  The formula was great and as you can tell, it's not fully opaque, which I don't mind because it looks like a french mani without the work :)

Obviously this color is a tan/nude that leans towards peach. What I couldn't seem to capture was the amazing shimmer that's in it.  There's tiny tiny glitter/shimmer of pink, gold, silver.  It shines in the light and is super pretty. I don't own any polish that is like this so I'm really excited to welcome it to my stash.  Thanks again Charlene!
